Guerilla Slug

The old woman, seeing the holes of the sesame leaves eaten by slugs, complains.
“These bugs make me so angry. They call them spirits of communist guerrillas. I think they are more cruel than the communists.”
You cannot see any slugs. Did they hide to avoid the harsh sun?
“They can’t come out while it’s hot; they come out only at night. They don’t even die with pesticide. That’s why they call them spirits of guerrillas.”

Portrait of Kara Walker

My niece who was visiting me from Korea participated in Rush Kids/Teens Summer Session in Brooklyn. I participated for the first day with her and drew a portrait of artist
Kara Walker who is one of the donors for the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation.
